Italy’s crude steel output up 0.3 percent in H1

According to the figures released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in June this year Italian crude steel output decreased by 7.9 percent year on year, totaling 2.424 million metric tons, indicating a year-on-year decline for the third month in a row.

In the second quarter, Italian crude steel output fell 0.76 percent quarter on quarter and 5.1 percent year on year.

In the first six months of the current year, total Italian crude steel output reached 14.813 million mt, with an increase of 0.3 percent compared to the same period 2011.
