According to the latest figures issued by ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in May this year Italy's construction output index increased by 1.2 percent month on month.
However, in May the construction output calendar-adjusted index increased by 0.2 percent year on year. In the first five months of the current year, the index was up 0.1 percent on year-on-year basis.
