According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in April this year the Italian seasonally adjusted construction output index decreased by 4.4 month on month. The average index for the February-April quarter decreased by 9.5 percent compared to the previous three-month period.
The calendar adjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector in April this year declined by 15.1 percent compared with April 2011, while in the first four months of the year the index decreased by 14.2 percent compared with the same period of 2011.
