ISDEMIR starts selling rebar

Turkey's one of the leading mills Iskenderun Demir & Celik A.S disclosed that it started to sell reinforcing bars as of July. Isdemir reported to SteelOrbis that Iskenderun-based producer began to accept orders for deformed reinforcing bars as of July 3, 2006. After the decision regarding sale of rebar, Isdemir, which interrupted rebar sales since 2002, started to sell 8-20 mm deformed reinforcing bars as of July 3, 2006. In addition to this innovation, authorities indicated that the plans for transformation to flat rolled production continued to being executed according to the previously defined framework, within the scope of the investment projects prepared during the process of Erdemir acquisition.
