Iranian steel producer Saba Compact Strip Production Plant (affiliated to major domestic steelmaker Mobarakeh Steel) has for the first time succeeded in producing special hot rolled coil to be used for the production oil and gas line pipes to the standard API-X52. The grade of steel in question, which is included in the HSLA (high strength and low alloy) group of steels, has been produced for Iranian pipe producer Ahwaz Pipe Manufacturing Co.
Saba Compact Strip Production Plant is a mini-mill with an annual capacity of 700,000 mt located close to Esfahan city in Iran.
