Iran rebar exports up in last 11-month period

According to research provided to SteelOrbis, Iran steel exports have mostly fallen for billet, slab, and HRC, but have increased for rebar.

According to provisional custom data, Iran exported 2.93 million mt of billet and bloom in the last 11-months of the Persian Year (March 21, 2018 - February 19, 2019), down 13 percent in the same period a year ago. In the same period, Iran exported 1.55 million mt of slab, down 42 percent, 0.57 million mt of HRC, down 3 percent, and 0.51 million mt of DRI, down 21 percent. Rebar exports though, increased 193 percent to 1.43 million mt in the 11-month period.
