The Ukrainian pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe Corporation (Interpipe) has announced that in January this year its Dnepropetrovsk-based subsidiary Interpipe NTRP started the production of seamless pipes with external corrosion-resistant coating. The coating in question is applied by new painting equipment supplied by Venjakob, a German manufacturer of spray coating lines and handling technology.

The first consignments of pipe products with the protective coating will be delivered to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel.

The protective coating that is applied onto the pipes is a varnish of ultraviolet polymerization, and allows products to maintain their consumer characteristics while being transported by sea and also during long storage.
