Indian state-owned steelmaker Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is seeking a global supplier of ferrovanadium for its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), company officials said on Wednesday, January 17.

The officials said that the initial volumes required will be an estimated 884 mt in shipments to be concluded in two lots for which global suppliers will be required to submit their bids by January 30, 2018.

According to the officials, the final volume to be purchased might be changed at a later date as per the requirements of BSP.

Ferrovanadium is used as key additive in the production of high strength, low alloy steel products with high anticorrosive properties.
