India’s JSW Steel Limited sees 70% fall in net profit in Q3 FY 2024-25

India’s JSW Steel Limited achieved a net profit of INR 7,170 million ($82.92 million) in the third quarter (October-December) of the fiscal year 2024-25, a decline of 70 percent year on year, according to a company statement on Friday, January 24.

The company reported revenues from operations at INR 413,780 million ($4.786 billion) in the given quarter, a decline of one percent year on year.

Consolidated crude steel production for the quarter stood at 7.03 million mt, up two percent year on year, and capacity utilisation of the Indian operations was 91 percent during the quarter.

Sales during the third quarter were reported at 6.71 million mt, a rise of 12 percent year on year.
