India prepares to set up new national steel policy

With the aim of restructuring the Indian steel industry and to become more competitive in the international markets, India is preparing to set up a national steel policy. Once the comments from the local producers are received on the draft proposal, the policy will be made public within one or two months and same is expected to be in application before the end of this year.
