India doubles iron ore exports in October

India's iron ore exports in October more than doubled to 9.325 million metric tons from 4.26 million metric tons a year ago, the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries announced on Thursday, as reported by Reuters.

Indian iron ore exports in the first seven months of the current financial year (starting on April 1) to October were at 53.225 million mt, up from 44.06 million mt in the same period a year ago.

India is the world's third largest iron ore exporter following Australia and Brazil.
