India and S. Arabia ink MoU for collaboration on electrical interconnection, green hydrogen development and production

India and Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation and collaboration on electrical interconnection and development of green hydrogen and its supply chain, an Indian government statement said on Monday, October 9.

The two countries are to cooperate in setting up a general framework for electrical inter-connection and exchange of electricity during peak times and emergencies.

The MoU also provides for co-development and co-production of green hydrogen and establishment of robust supply chains for green hydrogen production and other clean energy projects.

The MoU was signed by India’s minister of power R K Singh and Saudi Arabia’s minister of energy Abdulaziz Bin Salman Al-Saud.
