Ilyich buys 38.1% of Komsomolsk Iron Ore Company

The Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (Ilyich) has bought an additional 38.1 percent stake in Komsomolsk Iron Ore Company for UAH 110 million ($22 million), thus increasing its share in the iron ore company to 98.118 percent.

Apart from Ilyich, the other participants in the tender for the sale of the 38.1 percent stake in Komsomolsk Iron Ore Company, which was held by the Ukrainian State Property Fund, were Ilyich-Stal - an affiliate company of Ilyich, and Balaklavskoe Iron Ore Company of A.M Gokogo - a company controlled by Smart Group.
