Icdas commissions its new mini-mill

Turkish producer Icdas Celik Enerji Tersane ve Ulasım Sanayi A.S has recently commissioned its new mini-mill. The mill, which has been designed by Concast, a Swiss equipment installer, has an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons. The plant is stated to be one of the largest EAF in the world. It consists of 175 mt electric arc furnace, 175 mt ladle furnace and a six-strand billet caster. Moreover, another Turkish producer Colakoglu is planning to install 250-mt electric arc furnace.
