Hunan Valin Steel increases crude steel output by 23% in October

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) has announced respective pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs of 1.74 million mt, 2.14 million mt and 1.97 million mt for October of the current year, increasing respectively by 19.2 percent, 23.0 percent and 22.4 percent compared to 1.46 million mt, 1.74 million mt and 1.61 million mt of pig iron, crude steel and finished steel output in October 2018.

In the January-October period this year, its pig iron, crude steel and finished steel output amounted to 16.92 million mt, 20.63 million mt and 19.400 million mt, respectively, up 25.8 percent, 26.8 percent and 27.3 percent year on year.
