On October 15, Yunnan Province-based Chinese steel producer Honghe Iron and Steel Co. (Honghe Steel) successfully completed the hot trial run for its new structural steel project which has a designed annual production capacity of 600,000 mt.
As stated by Honghe Steel, the project is expected to fill in a gap in Yunnan Province as regards structural steel supply, as well as expand the range of steel varieties in the province and increase competition in the local market.
