Ho Chi Minh City to build 39 million m2 of residential housing in 2011-15

Authorities in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City plan to build 39 million m2 of residential housing space in the city in the period from 2011 to 2015 inclusive, local newspaper Vietnam Economic Times reported on June 20.

Accordingly, 7.8 million m2 of residential housing space per year will be built in Ho Chi Minh City during the period in question, increasing the average per-capita living space in the city to 17 m2 at the end of the period.
