Hebei Province-based Chinese steel giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group (Hebei Steel) has stated that it supplied a total of 1.5 million mt of steel products to major public sector construction programs in China in the first 11 months of 2010.
Of the total supplies, 1.32 million mt were delivered for railway construction programs, 107,900 mt for industrial construction programs, 166,000 mt for building programs in the transportation sector, and 5,800 mt were delivered for nuclear power programs.
So far in the current year, Hebei Steel has already received 17 orders for construction of national railways, four orders for construction programs in the petroleum and chemical sectors, three orders for national nuclear programs and five orders for large shipbuilding programs.
