Hanye Special Steel, a Chinese steel company based in Nanyang, Henan Province, has recently completed hot trial tests on its newly constructed No. 3 straight arc continuous slab caster with the world's largest section size.
The section size of the caster is up to 400 mm x 2,700 mm, with a radius of 12 m. The construction of the caster establishes a solid foundation for further development of the company's world-class production base for wide steel plates.
