The technology research center and cold rolling steel plant of Central China's Hebei Province-based Handan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd have through their joint efforts succeeded in developing SGCD1 galvanized steel plate used in the production of household appliances, marking a step forward by the company in its efforts to target the high-end household appliance market.
SGCD1 galvanized steel plate is produced from SPHD hot rolled steel sheet through cold rolling and galvanized processes. For the trial production in question, Handan Steel manufactured 196 mt of SPHD hot rolled steel sheets of 1.5 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.0 mm, 0.8 mm in thickness. Upon inspection, performance of all products was found to be in line with customers' requirements.
