Global stainless steel output down 6.4 percent in Q3 over Q2

In the third quarter of this year, world stainless crude steel output decreased by 6.4 percent quarter on quarter to 10.18 million mt, remaining unchanged compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to the preliminary report released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF). 
 
According to the ISSF data, in the third quarter of this year stainless crude steel production increased by 0.6 percent in China, up by 0.5 percent in the Asia region excluding China, while decreasing by 2.5 percent in the Americas region, by 7.14 percent in the Central and Eastern Europe region and declining by 0.77 percent in the Western Europe and Africa region, all compared with the third quarter of 2014.
