In June this year, the seasonally and working-day adjusted turnover in the German manufacturing industry decreased by 2.1 percent compared to May, according to the preliminary data reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). The working-day adjusted turnover in the German manufacturing sector in June this year increased by 1.4 percent compared to June 2014.
Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, the turnover in the German manufacturing industry increased by 1.8 percent on year-on-year basis.
In June of the current year, the turnover of German metal and metal product manufacturing decreased by 0.6 percent compared to May, with domestic sales falling by 1.2 percent and foreign sales up by 0.4 percent, month on month.
In June, a decrease of 3.5 percent was recorded in the turnover in manufacture of fabricated metal products in Germany, with domestic sales decreasing by 2.1 percent and foreign sales down by 6.3 percent, all compared to the previous month.
