German crude steel output rises six percent in July

In July this year Germany's crude steel output amounted to 3.7 million metric tons, increasing by almost six percent year on year according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). WV Stahl said production is expected to grow for the coming months.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year Germany's crude steel production reached 26.9 million metric tons, rising by 2.5 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
 
On the other hand, in June this year Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3.46 million metric tons, up by 4.3 percent, including 2.28 million metric tons of flat steel products - up 3.3 percent, and 1.17 million metric tons of long steel products - up 6.2 percent, all compared to June 2010.
