Gerdau Metaldom teams up with Intec to study resistant civil construction materials

Dominican Republic-based steelmaker Gerdau Metaldom has teamed up with the Santo Domingo Technology Institute (Intec) to develop research related to resistant civil construction materials.

According to a media report in Spanish, both sides have agreed to develop activities of continuous investigation in order to exchange academic research. The two entities will also organize seminars, courses and classes in order to exchange their knowledge over the topic.

The collaboration, which is expected to be expanded to different areas, aims to promote both the extension of culture and services that can interested the two parties.

Under the collaboration, both Gerdau Metaldom and Intec can jointly publish academic articles and promote institutional visits to either Gerdau or Intec.
