Georgia’s semi-finished exports to Turkey increase in first eight months

In the first eight months of this year, Georgia's exports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 35,681 metric tons, totaling a value of $16.74 million, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). No semi-finished product exports were recorded in the same period of the previous year.
 
Meanwhile, in the first eight months this year Georgia's exports of bars and rods of iron to Turkey sharply increased to 15,364 mt, compared to the January-August period of 2012, with a value of $8.78 million.
