In 2013, Georgia's exports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 67,407 metric tons, totaling a value of $31.51 million, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). Only 2,432 metric tons of semi-finished product exports were recorded in 2012.
Meanwhile in 2013, Georgia's exports of bars and rods of iron to Turkey surged to 27,311 mt with a value of $15.70 million, up from just 580 mt in 2012.
