FTA talks between Japanese and Philippine officials fail

According to recent news in the market, the talks on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Japanese and Philippine officials have recently failed due to the disagreement on the subject of steel tariffs applied by Philippines on Japanese steel products. There was a progress in the talks held in Manila, Philippines, however as the Philippines officials insisted on tariffs on steel products imported from Japan, the talks ended without an agreement.
