French crude steel output down 1.5 percent in January-June

In the first six months of this year, French crude steel output decreased by 1.5 percent year on year to 8.18 million mt, according to the latest data released by the French Steel Federation (FFA). 
 
Meanwhile, in June this year, French crude steel production amounted to 1.4 million mt, remaining stable year on year. In the same month, crude steel production in France using electric arc furnaces (EAFs) fell by 5.7 percent year on year to 479,000 mt, while crude steel production using blast furnaces (BFs) totaled 921,000 mt, increasing by 1.2 percent year on year.
