France's steel product import value up 9.1 percent in January

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in January this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €808.5 million, increasing by 9.1 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €155 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 4.24 percent, €63.7 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 30.44 percent, €38.8 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 27.8 percent, €36.7 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 17.67 percent, and €134.45 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by one percent, all compared to January 2017.
