France's steel product import value up 5.4 percent in H1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the first half of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €5.04 billion, increasing by 5.4 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €970.38 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 6.3 percent, €239.61 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 20.6 percent, €377.09 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 13.5 percent, €238.96 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 19.4 percent, and €896.29 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 8.6 percent, all compared to the January-June period of 2017.
