France's steel product export value up 3.4 percent in 2018

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in 2018 France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €10.52 billion, rising by 3.4 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €1.28 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 0.4 percent, €457.5 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 18 percent, €656.8 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 5.7 percent, €353.1 million of cold drawn wire – remaining almost stable, and €752.5 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 11.3 percent, all compared to 2017.
