France’s construction cost index up 1.48 percent in Q3

According to the data released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's construction cost index in the third quarter of 2012 stood at 1,648 declining compared to the 1,666 recorded in the previous quarter, while it rose 1.48 percent as compared to the third quarter of the previous year. In the second quarter of 2012, the index had risen by three percent quarter on quarter and was up 4.58 percent year on year.

The country's construction cost index has generally risen on quarter-on-quarter basis since the beginning of 2009 with the exception of Q4 2011 and Q1 2012.
