France’s auto industry orders up 4.6 percent in June over May

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in June this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, rose slightly by 0.6 percent month on month. In May, a revised month-on-month increase of 1.5 percent was registered. Meanwhile, in the month in question, export orders remained nearly unchanged as compared to the previous month, down 0.1 percent. In June, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry fell by 3.8 percent as compared to the previous month, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery fell by 0.8 percent as compared to May. In June, industrial orders in France's automotive industry improved by 4.6 percent as compared to the previous month, following a decrease of 1.3 percent recorded in May.
