Ferrexpo posts positive production results for January-April

Swiss-headquartered miner Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has reported positive production results for the first four months of the current year despite the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the given period, the company’s iron ore pellet production increased by 8.8 percent year on year to 3.8 million mt. In April alone, the company’s output totaled 1.06 million mt, SteelOrbis has learned.

In the January-April period this year, the company’s sales of iron ore pellets increased by 28 percent year on year to 4.1 million mt.
