FED raises interest rates to 2.5%
The US Federal Reserve on Wednesday raised interest rates by a quarter points to 2.5%. The move, which was widely expected in financial markets, was the sixth rate rise since June 2004. FED officials explained that economic risks were balanced between slower growth and rising prices.
