Ex-factory prices of Wuhan and Anshan for April

SteelOrbis Shanghai Anshan Steel and Wuhan Steel increased their ex-factory prices of flat rolled products for April. Based on its March prices, Anshan Steel increased its price for common carbon HR by RMB 380/mt ($47). Now the ex-factory price of 2.75 mm Q235 is RMB 3,210/mt ($399), and that of 5.5 mm is RMB 3,080/mt ($383). The price of CR products is up RMB 420/mt ($52). The ex-factory price of 1.0 mm ST12 is now RMB 4,210/mt ($523). Wuhan Steel increased its base price of common carbon HR products by RMB 640/mt ($80). The price of 3.0 mm is now RMB 3,760/mt ($467), and that of 5.5 mm is RMB 3,510/mt ($436). The base price of CR products is up RMB 750/mt ($93). After the price adjustment, the price of 1.0 mm DC01 is RMB 4,950/mt ($615). Taxes are excluded from the prices. After the price hike, now Wuhan Steel's ex-factory price is higher than current market prices. The price announcements led to sharp price increases in CR and HR markets from March 4 to March 6.
