The Sukhaya Balka iron ore mining and processing complex, the Ukraine-based subsidiary of the Russian steelmaker and iron ore producer Evraz Group, has completed the construction and commissioning its own railway infrastructure, which will provide deliveries of 225,000-226,000 mt of iron ore per month, the Interfax Ukraine news agency has reported.

Accordingly, in the near future, Sukhaya Balka plans to reach a shipment  target of 300,000 mt of iron ore pen month.

As SteelOrbis  previously reported, over a year ago, a rail transportation conflict occured between Sukhaya Balka and Krivoy Rog Iron Ore Industrial Complex (KRZhK), resulting in KZHRK blocking access roads to Sukhaya Balka. To ensure normal operations Sukhaya Balka was forced to start building its own its own railway siding.
