In April this year, Evraz UGOK (Southern Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, increased its iron ore concentrate production by 15.2 percent compared to April 2010, to 839,000 mt. Its output of agglomerate in the given period declined by 13.6 percent year on year to 190,000 mt.
In the January-April period of the current year, Evraz UGOK saw a 15 percent increase in its iron ore concentrate production to 3.289 million mt, but a 17.6 percent decrease in its agglomerate production to 608,000 mt - both on year-on-year basis.
