Evraz produces new railway wheels at NTMK

Russian mining and steel producing group Evraz has sent to consumers a trial batch of new products made by its subsidiary Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works (NTMK). The products in question are railways wheels with a curved disk for freight cars. The wheels with diameter of 957 mm have a higher hardness of rim - from 320 and above units as per Brinnel, and are made from steel grade T of NTMK's own production. This kind of product was not previously produced by NTMK.


The product fully conforms with quality standards and safety regulations for railway transport in Russia.
