According to European Steel Association (Eurofer) indexes, local scrap prices in the EU in September this year followed a slight downtrend, posting decreases of around one percent compared to August. The year-on-year comparison is still negative for all scrap qualities, but the gap is smaller as compared to the year-on-year comparisons in July and August.
