EU sets definitive AD duty on CR flat imports from China, Russia

The European Commission (EC) has announced that it has imposed definitive antidumping (AD) duty on imports of certain cold rolled (CR) flat steel products originating in China and Russia. These duties will be in place for five years and they will also be levied retroactively on imports registered during the two months that preceded the adoption of provisional measures on February 12, 2016.
 
For Chinese companies, the final antidumping duties are 19.7 percent for Angang Group, 22.1 percent for Shougang Group, 20.5 percent for other cooperating companies and 22.1 percent for all other companies. For Russia, the final antidumping duties stand at 18.7 percent for Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK), 34 percent for Severstal, and 36.1 percent for Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and all other companies. 
 
The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7209 15 00, 7209 16 90, 7209 17 90, 7209 18 91, 7209 18 99, 7209 25 00, 7209 26 90, 7209 27 90, 7209 28 90, 7211 23 30, 7211 23 80, 7211 29 00, 7225 50 80 and 7226 92 00.
