EU scrap indexes up slightly in August from July

According to the indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) in August indicated only very slight increases compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, the same indexes showed slight changes, both positive and negative.

The following table indicates the scrap index movements in August:
