On January 25, the European Commission published its regulation No. 60/2012 in the Official Journal of the European Union, announcing the results of its interim review of the antidumping (AD) duty on imports of ferrosilicon originating, inter alia, in Russia.

The proceeding was initiated in line with a request lodged on November 30, 2009 by Russian producer/exporter Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Integrated Plant and its related joint stock company Kuznetsk Ferroalloy Works. Following the interim review, the European Commission has confirmed the current AD duty of 22.7 percent for the two companies.

The products covered by the AD order fall within CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90.
