EU Commission reviews the AD duty on South Africa

According to a recent report from the industry, the EU Commission is currently reviewing the anti-dumping duty of HRC imports from South Africa, which was implemented three years ago. Iscor and Saldanha were charged with 5.2% anti-dumping duty, Highveld with a minimum undertaking price and "All others” with 36% duty at that time. The South African steel companies Iscor Limited and Highveld hope for the duty and the minimum price agreement in the case of Highveld will be scrapped altogether in February. On the other hand there is always the risk that the duties might on the contrary be increased instead.
