Essar Steel reports growth in its sales volume

According to recent news in the market, Indian steel producer Essar Steel has reported a sales volume of 1.91 million tons in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2004, which indicates 11% increase when compared with 1.72 million tons recorded in the previous fiscal. In line with the statement released from the company, hot rolled coil production increased by 10% to 1.93 million tons. In the previous fiscal, the production of the aforementioned product was recorded as 1.75 million tons. Moreover, production of hot briquetted iron (HBI) for steel making increased by 13% to 2.23 million tons. The company produced 1.75 million tons of HBI in the previous fiscal.
