Essar Steel hikes HR steel prices

Indian steel producer Essar Steel has recently announced that it increased prices of hot rolled steel products by around Rupees 500-1'000 ($10.8-21.6) per ton. The base price for the subject product is now around Rupees 25'500 ($550) per ton. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the prices were last revised in February as Indian government demanded steel producers not to hike hot rolled steel prices till June.
