Egypt's largest rebar producer EZZ Steel has told SteelOrbis that during the recent political upheaval in Egypt its administration building in Cairo was burned down, with the company losing all its files and documents. As a result, EZZ Steel has relocated its headquarters to another address in Cairo. EZZ Steel has asked its counterparties to resend all invoices which were sent in January.

EZZ Steel has said that, as regards outstanding payments, all payments will be transferred to the relevant bank accounts as soon as the banks start working efficiently, most probably within a week or two.
