Hubei-based Chinese steel producer Echeng Iron and Steel (Egang) has announced that its bar mill has succeeded in producing 60 mt of S45CB carbon steel structural round bars of 50 mm in diameter, for export to South Korean company VINST. This is the first batch of the product in question from Egang to enter the South Korean market.

Egang has been producing carbon steel structural round bar for over 50 years. In recent years, the steelmaker has placed greater emphasis on the development of export markets and has exported cold rolled galvanized steel as well as wide and heavy plates to Europe and South Korea.
