Dniprospetsstal’s electrical steel output down in April from March levels

For April this year, Ukrainian metallurgical company Dneprospetsstal (DSS) has posted a 5.6 percent month-on-month drop in its electrical steel production to 34,000 mt, which was up 9.7 percent compared to April 2010. The company's output of finished steel went down by 15.4 percent compared to March, declining to 22,000 mt.

In January-April of the current year, DSS saw 19.8 percent growth in its electrical steel production compared to January-April 2010, rising to 139,000 mt.

Dneprospetsstal's activities cover the design, manufacture and distribution of stainless, tool, high-speed, bearing and alloy structural steel products. DSS' products are used in the manufacture of machinery parts, tools for metal and alloy machining, seamless pipes and bearings.
