DGCX adds Kaptan to its portfolio of rebar producers

Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) has announced that its list of approved producers for rebar futures contracts has expanded with the addition of one more rebar manufacturer: Turkish rebar producer Kaptan Demir Celik Endustrisi ve Ticaret A.S.

As a result of this further addition, DGCX's portfolio of deliverable rebar has now increased to ten. The list of previously-approved producers includes Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi A.S, Ekinciler Demir Celik A.S, Diler Demir Celik End. ve Tic. A.S, Al Tuwairqi Group, Sabic Steel, Qatar Steel, Kroman Celik Sanayi A.S, Emirates Iron and Steel Company and Habas Demir Celik A.S.

With its two mills in Tekirdag which were recently approved by CARES, Kaptan aims to become one of Turkey's leading steel rebar suppliers to the UAE.
